The greatest blessings and successes in my life have come through meaningful relationships and connections. The lessons I've learned through others has brought tremendous opportunity and spared me from many unwanted griefs.
In 2 Corinthians 1:4, Paul writes that God comforts, helps us through our challenges so that we then are able to give others the same comfort, help that God has given us. In other words ... God doesn’t comfort us to make us comfortable, he comforts us to make us comforters, helpers.

In 2019, at 47 yrs old, my entire 'manhood plans' and goals had come to fruition. All the 'things' I'd been working toward ... maturing my marriage, launching daughters into adulthood, ministry work, house paid off, retirement funds in place ... yet I found myself a bit lost, purposeless, and depressed.
